Privacy Policy – Daily Streak

This Privacy Policy explains how Daily Streak ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use our iOS application.

We designed Daily Streak with privacy in mind. The App is a simple utility to track daily habit streaks and does not require user accounts. We collect minimal technical data necessary for app stability and product improvement, and sync your habit data via iCloud for cross-device access.

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary for app stability and improvement.

• No accounts or profiles are created
• No personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, etc.) are collected
• Crash data: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports when the App encounters errors. This includes technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and error stack traces. No personal information or user-generated content is included.
• Usage data: We use Firebase Analytics to collect aggregated usage statistics, such as app launches, session duration, and feature interactions. This data helps us understand how the App is used and improve its functionality. No sensitive data, user-generated content, or personal identifiers are collected.
• iCloud sync: If you are signed in to iCloud, your habit and streak data is automatically synced across your devices via Apple CloudKit. Data is stored in a private CloudKit container dedicated to this app — it is not visible in your iCloud Drive or general iCloud storage. It is stored on Apple's iCloud infrastructure and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. This data may be accessible to us via the CloudKit console for debugging purposes.
• Push notifications: If you enable streak reminders, a device token is registered with Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver notifications. No personal information is associated with this token.
• Purchase data: If you purchase a premium subscription, your transaction is processed by Apple App Store and purchase verification is handled by RevenueCat. We receive only entitlement status (whether you are a subscriber); no payment card details are shared with us.

2. How Your Data Is Used

Your information is used as follows:

• Crash data: Used solely to identify and fix bugs and improve app stability
• Usage data: Used to understand feature usage and improve the App
• Habit and streak data: Stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, synced via Apple CloudKit to a private app container for cross-device access. May be accessible to us via the CloudKit console for debugging purposes.
• Push notification token: Used only to deliver streak reminders you have requested
• Purchase data: Used solely to verify your subscription entitlement
• Data is not sold or used for advertising
• Data is not used for cross-app or cross-site tracking

3. Data Storage and Security

Your habit and streak data is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using SwiftData. If you are signed in to iCloud, this data is also synced via Apple CloudKit to a private container dedicated to this app, making it available across your devices. This container is not visible in iCloud Drive or general iCloud storage. Data on Apple's infrastructure is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

We rely on:

• iOS system security
• App sandboxing
• Device-level protections such as Face ID, Touch ID, and passcodes (if enabled by you)

Data transmitted to third-party providers — including Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and RevenueCat — is processed in accordance with their respective security and privacy practices. Where supported, data is stored and processed within the European Union (EU).

Habit and streak data synced via CloudKit may be accessible to us via the CloudKit console for debugging purposes. This data is anonymized — we cannot identify individual users from it. We do not use this data for any purpose other than resolving technical issues.

4. Third-Party Services

Daily Streak integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics & Cloud Messaging) – crash reporting, analytics, and push notifications (Privacy Policy)
• Apple CloudKit – cross-device sync of habit and streak data stored in a private app container on Apple's iCloud infrastructure (Privacy Policy)
• RevenueCat – subscription management and purchase verification (Privacy Policy)

Daily Streak does not integrate with:

• Advertising networks
• Social media platforms
• Third-party data brokers

5. Children's Privacy

Daily Streak does not knowingly collect personal data from users of any age beyond what is described in this policy (anonymous crash data, aggregated usage statistics, and habit data accessible via CloudKit for debugging). We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other identifying information. The App complies with children's privacy regulations, including COPPA.

6. Your Privacy Rights

We do not collect personal identifiers such as names or email addresses. Habit and streak data synced via CloudKit may be accessible to us for debugging, but is not used for profiling or marketing. Data in the CloudKit console is anonymized — we cannot identify or isolate an individual user's records. Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations:

• To delete your habit data, use Delete All Data in the app's Settings screen — this removes all records from your device and the CloudKit container
• Anonymous crash and usage data cannot be attributed to you and cannot be deleted on a per-user basis

If you delete the App without clearing data first, locally stored data is removed by iOS. To also remove CloudKit data, use Delete All Data in Settings before deleting the app.

7. App Store Privacy Disclosure

• Data Collected: Crash Data, Usage Data, Purchase History
• Purpose: App functionality, product improvement, and subscription management
• Data Linked to You: No
• Tracking: No

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If the App's functionality changes in a way that affects privacy (for example, adding accounts, advertising, or new data collection), this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
